In September 2017 I went on a cross-country road trip with my uncle and grandpa. South Dakota was the first place we stopped the car to sight see.
I pulled out my inner prairie girl in South Dakota (anyone remember the American Girl Doll, Kirsten?) and got to see wildlife in the plains.
We drove through Custer State Park and saw so many buffalo, donkeys, prairie dogs and antelope. It was like the childhood song Home on the Range.
At the top of one lookout point we were able to see Mount Rushmore!
