In September 2017 I went on a cross-country road trip with my uncle and grandpa. South Dakota was the first place we stopped the car to sight see.
We stayed in Keystone South Dakota at the beginning of our road trip and went to see Mount Rushmore. I’ve always known about Mount Rushmore holding the faces of our past presidents – Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln & Roosevelt but I didn’t realize how crazy it is that someone actually carved their faces on the side of a mountain.
It was really cool to see and amazing to think of the work that went into it.
